The 5th Europe Asia Young Leaders Forum took place in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.

The very dynamic development of this emerging economy, with its young, highly motivated and open-minded population, makes the country by definition an interesting destination for young leaders. In addition, the relations between Germany and Vietnam have a special tradition, dating back primarily to the "guest stays" of Vietnamese students and workers in the GDR. Still today, this group forms a bridge between both countries and keeps the Vietnamese interest in Germany very much alive.
